227 players attempted at least 1.5 3P/Game and made at least 100 3's just during MJ's playing days.

He ranked 191st among them in 3P%. Him being a bad three-point shooter is a WHOLE lot more than "he didn't care," lol.
Lower that parameter to 50 3's and he becomes 206th out of 254.

Raise it to 250 and he's 147th out of 171. Raise it even further to 500 and he's 91st out of 100.
Lower the attempts to 1.0 3P/Game, while keeping the 3P makes at 100, and he's 216th out of 271.

Raise those 3-pointers back up to 250 and he ranks 156th out of 185.

Remember, this is JUST during Jordan's playing days.
Out of everyone with at least 581 makes (his career total), he ranks 71st out of 81.

Out of everyone with at least 1,778 attempts (his career total), he ranks 55th of 67.

Only during his era.
Maybe you thought it's because of the Bulls.

Teammates' 3P% during MJ's era (min. 100 attempts):
- Kerr: 47.9
- Armstrong: 43.7
- Hodges: 42.5
- Macy: 41.1
- Trucker: 39.7
- Buechler: 38.1
- Paxson: 36.3
- Burrell 35.4
- Kukoc: 34.3
- Jordan: 33.2
- Pippen: 32.8
- Harper: 29.4
3PA/Game during that time:
- Kerr: 2.4
- Armstrong: 1.3
- Hodges: 2.3
- Macy: 1.7
- Trucker: 1.9
- Buechler: 0.9
- Paxson: 1.1
- Burrell 1.8
- Kukoc: 2.3
- Jordan: 1.8
- Pippen: 2.4
- Harper: 1.5
So all this crap about "he didn't care" about being a good 3-pointer shooter, is just utter nonsense.

And if it is true, then he's got some crazy low basketball IQ.
For the record, I'm completely fine with hypotheticals. There's so much what if and luck involved in basketball so I have no problem with it.

But base the hypotheticals off the patterns and data presented to us. Don't just assume what you want to happen.
