Someone mentioned that he (Phantom) is literally Christine and the Phantom in one being. That is true because in a voice line, he said that he doesn’t know if he’s awake or not and how there’s something controlling him (in which where Christine sings “In sleep, he sang to me”)
This part is the Phantom’s part but notice the line “My power over you grows stronger...” Phantom (operator) does mention that this power has been controlling him till the point it has controlled his speech, his thoughts and feelings as well.
Those who have seen Phantom were confused and scared of his presence because he’s a SCP case within Rhodes Islands, a particular line strikes here “those who have seen your face draw back in fear” as if ‘Phantom’ is been always there... as if he knows what truly scares them
Linking to “I am the mask you wear//It’s me they hear” (the Phantom’s lines) Phantom mentions that the collar or the mask he wears is something no one should listen too, knowing consciously that is what others feared the most... which is his reflection/mirror
Hence why Phantom and his Mirror... are definitely one entity but split. Phantom is Christine yet the Phantom,,, this mirror is controlling him, distorting his voice and spirit (which also relates to how oripathy kinda affected his voice)
Fantasies... Phantom is stuck in this mirage where he’s blinded by the night, the night or the incident that caused him to be controlled by something... a log from operator Schwarz mentions that Phantom isn’t awake, that he’s stuck in a nightmare... that is within him
That man, that mystery are the mirror that Phantom fears of releasing... note that in Phantom’s idle speech, he goes off about how the inappropriate timing of sleepiness can trigger the night or the dark... he’s worried about people getting the same action...
