Virgo is such an interesting sign to me, mainly because am I one, but there is such complexity in the mind of a Virgo, and often they don’t get the recognition they wish they got.
Virgo’s dilemma is that they have a hard time being able to feel, but have a deep desire to connect with others. However, because they’re mutuable earth, they’re constantly raising and lowering the walls. Even more so, they’re so in their head, Mercury ruled.
Where as Gemini, diurnal mercury, speaks and lets ideas out of their head, Virgo holds them in, and doesn’t let them out. Earth is about building walls and structure. Virgo has a really hard time being able to verbalize what they think, because it makes more sense
in their head rather than saying it outloud. Earth naturally is a cold element, so it keeps things inside and move inwards. Virgo is the often associated with over analyzing for this reason. Being that it is also a dry element, it is not afraid to be very blunt and abrasive
just like Fire signs, who are also dry. Dryness means that there is no changeability and it takes solid form. Because this is Mutable Earth that is Dry, Virgo’s sense of self is constantly changing, and because they’re very intelligent and logic orientated...
trying to grasp a sense of who they are is very difficult. This is the complex of Virgo, on a psychological level. While I do love Traditional Astrology based in real life situations, psychological interpretations are very useful because they show the native’s internal dialogue.
Virgo is always having an internal dialogue because they’re Mercury ruled. One reason most Virgos struggle with love is because this is the fall of Venus. Venus naturally wants to bring things together, avoids conflict, and appreciates beauty.
In Virgo, things are very black and white, and there is no compromise. Venus is not a big fan of this. Even though Taurus is the ruler of Venus, and Venus works well in an Earth Sign, in this specific Earth Sign, Venus is unable to convey the emotion
it usually wants to, because of Mercury’s emotional detachment. One positive though is this makes theme extremely, simplistically, creative, reminding me of Modern Architecture: sleek, minimal, beautiful. Another problem Virgo has is the ability to grow
and to allow themselves to not be confined. Jupiter is in detriment in this sign, because the cold and dry of Virgo restricts Jupiters warm and wet expansion. Its too focused on little details rather than the big picture in Virgo.
Because this sign is the closest, inferior in zodiacal order sign, to the Sun’s ruling sign, Leo, it kind of shows how Virgo is naturally “shadowed” or living in the shadow. Cancer benefits from this shadow, since its in front of the Sun, and reflects the warmth and light of sun.
Mercury gets overshadowed from behind in the house behind the Sun (when you look at diurnal rotation of the planets), and this is why Virgos often have issues with validation: they’re not recognized as much as they feel they should be.
Mercury does all the hardwork behind the scenes, but in Virgo: they rarely get noticed. So please text a virgo this next time they’re sad:

Everything you’ve done is acknowledged and appreciated. Your hard work isn’t going unnoticed and ____ wouldn’t be what it is without you.
This is my Virgo thread. We’re brave and strong. 🥺✌🏼 Love ya from the bottom of my heart.
If you would like to see the best example of a Virgo character. Kakashi Hatake from Naruto is actually a Virgo, but the way kishimoto portrays him is so accurate. You could specifically watch the Kakashi filler arc (around EP 361:SHIP) to see exactly what I mean.
Here's the Youtube for the episode Im talking about.
