I am still fuming at our MPs attitude to the Coronavirus virus lockdown. My nephew is a junior doctor in the Midlands. He is seeing the sad facts of this awful disease. He has lost colleagues. —>
Our MP said that 80% do not get the virus and that for 20% it was a mild disease. She said it was a ‘small nut’ and the lockdown a ‘big hammer’. —>
So far, not half way through this wave, and despite the most unprecedented restrictions on movement in modern times, we have had at least 30,000 deaths. —>
Has our MP apologised?
No.
—>
No.
—>
Has our MP replied to my emails raising concerns from whistleblowers about PPE shortages at Torbay hospital?
No?

No?

Has our MP decided to spend time criticising our @DC_Police and especially young officers for doing their best to protect us during this time?
Yes.

Yes.

Anne Marie Morris has a long list of stupidity going back many years. From telling me the Government was doing everything necessary to protect the railway at Dawlish (in 2013!) to claiming 90% of trade was on WTO terms. —>
There’s too many ‘n******s in this lady’s woodpile’ to mention here. But this time it’s gone too far. There are lives at stake. —>
You may feel that the police have gone too far in enforcing the poorly drafted rules on the lockdown. You may think that no harm would be done by a trip to the moor or a beach for a solitary walk.—>
But, consider this, every year Devon welcomes 6 million visitors (nearly 6 times its population). Everyone could be a carrier of the Coronavirus. Just how many of our local elderly people and NHS staff lives is worth your walk on the beach?—>
We may not agree with our Government. I do not. They’ve been slow and inept, but in this I agree. Our police, deserve our 100% support. If they make mistakes or go too far at this time I trust them to put it right.—>
Anne Marie Morris will not apologise. Perhaps her ‘small nut’ remark should be in her profile description.
If you voted for her, just have a quiet word with yourself and don’t make the same mistake next time when she finally stands down.<—ends
