So today I wanted to share a simple gem from Qur'an that will help you change your perspective and perhaps help you accept and deal better with the hurt and being let down by people.

[A THREAD]
☆ Have you ever gone out of your way to help someone?
☆ Have you sometimes put your needs on a back burner and tried to help someone else?
☆ Have you helped someone get a job?
☆ Have you helped someone plan a wedding?
☆ Have you helped someone deliver their baby?
And the very people you made these genuine heartfelt efforts for have hurt you, backbitten about you, misunderstood and slandered you?

You feel that you squandered your efforts.
You feel you wasted your time.
You feel incapacitated and let down for being vulnerable.
You feel you are a bad judge of people and what they deserve.

But guess what, this is not the case when you are a Muslim. With Ramadan around the corner, I am revising the Suwar I have memorized and right now I am revising Surah Rahman.
And guess what Allah says in this beautiful Surah?

Allah azza wa jal says:
📚 ❝Is there any reward for good other than good?❞
{Surah Ar Rahman 55: Verse 60}
Remember the ONLY ONE who can truly bless you with good is Allah. As humans we miscalculate, we do good with people and we expect the same behavior from them.

✦ Sometimes the friend you helped plan her wedding will end up creating drama and stress at your wedding.
✦ Sometimes when you serve your husband's family, his sisters or mother will create the greatest fitna in your life.
✦ Sometimes the poor person you helped get some medical help will be the same person who steals from your home.
✦ Sometimes in return of the love, compassion, opportunities and help we give others we get the complete opposite in return.

During those times of distress and hurt it is important to remember that Allah is a witness to your good, he is a witness to your tears and sadness.
And He THE ALMIGHTY has promised you that inreturn of good you will get nothing but good. And who is going to give you this good?

Not your friends,
not your husband,
not your parents,
ALLAH HIMSELF!
Allah takes this task upon himself - subhanAllah <3. The good you have done for others will come back to you as unimaginable blessings from Allah. The only condition is, when you do good do it for the sake of Allah, expect returns from Allah and not from His creation.
Expect recompense, favour and honour from Allah and ALLAH ALONE and never from people.

🌻 Dear soul, that is filled with kindness continue doing good for the sake of Allah.
🌻 Dear soul, that is always over looked, undermined and unappreciated for the good that you do continue doing good for the sake of Allah.
🌻 Dear soul that is tired, sleepless and worried but still puts on a brave face and smile for her loved ones please continue doing good for the sake of Allah.

Because Allah never goes back on His promise.
📚 ❝So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is true...❞
{Surah Ar-Rūm 30: Verse 60}

Some sisters may wonder, well I have been doing a lot of good, when is this promised good coming back to me?

📚 ❝..Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive.❞
{Surah Hud 11: Verse 61}
🤲 May Allah change our hearts and make us of those who do every single deed for His sake alone. May He grant us tawfeeq to tame our ego, stay away from show off and from try to gain people's favour - ameen ya rabbi.
