A thread of why we shouldn’t cancel Brendon Urie #BrendonUrieIsOverParty
He goes live every week on twitch to raise money for @highesthopes and has raised $134K 💓
He also goes live just to check up on his fans or better yet “vros” and hang out with us. He’s built a community on twitch that makes everyone feel welcomed. He always ends his streams with “I love ya, remember how dope you are.”
Two fans named Briar and Eva put together the @patdhearts project. *learn more abt it on their twt* Every show Brendon acknowledges the hard work everyone puts in and goes out of his way to make sure the venue staff and crew know about the project before they arrive.
There were speculations of his past guitarist using his position in panic! to inappropriately message underage girls. Brendon believed the word of the victims and fired him shortly after.
Can’t watch this and tell this man doesn’t care about his fans and career BYE
He is so proud of everything that has come of the band and doesn’t take all the credit for it. He has previously thanked past band members, his friends, his family, and his fans.
Anyways fuck #brendonurieisoverparty let’s do #CancelCultureisoverparty and #welovebrendonurie instead ok? Aight remember how dope you are.
Wait continuing this since my point isn’t getting across.
Yes ik all the controversial things he’s done, I’ve been here for 5 years. Yes I know they were wrong. But hear me out
This thread was supposed to bring light to all of the GOOD things Brendon has done recently. The bad things he’s done are in his past. I believe since these happened in 2013 and prior years that he’s had time to grow as a person.
Brendon has apologized with both words and actions for his past. He’s done so much more good today, than the bad he’s done in his past. Because of this I feel like I can forgive him.
