also kairi canonically doesn't have a solid memory of her childhood, maybe she's the master post bodyhopping and has no clue? maybe what's in the box is a copy of the master's memories, or a replica of the master's body, with memories inside

to my knowledge we haven't seen the master existing irl since his meeting with xehanort before kairi would have been born, then we see him again in riku's dream

maybe kairi, who has been asleep for a year, has gotten into riku's dreams somehow, since she was possibly shown to be dreaming of the final world, which is connected to dream shibuya, which was in riku's dream/the secret ending,
