If I don& #39;t wear a burqa on Twitter, I bear some responsibility for a stranger stalking me? There& #39;s no "right way to ask that question", because it is a stupid question. https://twitter.com/EdSzumowski/status/1253135449155125251">https://twitter.com/EdSzumows...
Not a single suggestion I made has anything to do with how a person dresses, what they look like, makeup they wear, etc. All of the reasonable precautions I suggested were based on *limiting location-identifying information/photos* published online. There is an obvious difference
And not that it matters, but the irony is not lost on me that I am wearing a hoodie up to my chin in my profile picture & *still* get asked that.
I also do not agree with anonymous twitter accounts, I do not think someone can ethically make as many criticisms/commentaries of people as I do, without the accountability of showing my face. I also can& #39;t be anonymous on Twitter due to my job, which I need it for.
I don& #39;t mean to be rude, sorry. I was too harsh in the first tweet. 99.9% of people are good, well adjusted, & understand that someone posting a photo of themselves online doesn& #39;t mean your fantasy of marrying them in your head is real.
The "limit location identifying info online" precautions are to minimize chances of the "unreasonable" 0.01% of psychos finding you. They were always unreasonable,& would be regardless of what you do. Precautions arent to make psychos less psycho. Its to limit ability to find you
