ppl discovered the symbiotes and as humans tend to do they start seeing if they can combine them with humans bc why not and it works! it makes them stronger and faster and more resilient and ppl start calling them 'witchers' bc its gotta be magic

geralt is Extra Special and bonds deeper with his symbiote than any of them. he takes on some of its features, white hair and gold eyes and sharp teeth and eventually there's no separation between him and white wolf (the symbiote)

jaskier is a freelance musician who is very taken with the idea of the symbiotes, thinks they're really cool and that ppl don't treat them the way they deserve esp since witchers do all the dirty work of killing the monsters that humans are too scared to do

he meets geralt and white wolf and immediately falls for them bc he's just Like That and decides to dedicate his life to giving them an easier life

white wolf LOVES jaskier wants to keep him and be near him all the time but geralt hesitates bc he's broody and angsty

but in reality geralt loves jaskier too bc how could he Not

doesn't stop him from breaking jaskier's heart and blaming him for his own stupid decisions and sending him away but white wolf is Upset at him and stops talking to him bc how could u send our bard away fuck u

and then jaskier is in trouble and almost dies but is saved at the last minute by the one (two) person(s) he never thought he'd see again. white wolf is in charge atm and tells him geralt is dumb and can't face his feelings but they never wanted jaskier gone

and if jaskier can forgive them they'd never do it again bc they love him

jaskier believes him bc white wolf never lies to him and just smiles softly and calls him "sweet wolf" and laughs when it makes the symbiote puff up in pride

when geralt is in charge again he ducks his head and hunches in on himself like a reprimanded puppy but jaskier can't be mad at him for long bc he loves his silly stupid witcher too much

"i'm sorry," geralt says and jaskier just hugs him

"i forgive you."

and then they live happily ever after fighting monsters and wandering the world and jaskier sings abt his white wolf and it's not perfect but it's damn near close
