Alright, I wanted to hold back my frustrations, but I am going to air them out:

1/The other day, we posted a FFAK cloth medical mask. Obviously not a "medical grade" item, but more than enough to help people cover as their state recommends (and sometimes requires).
2/We were met with overwhelmingly positive reaction, but had a few people comment that REALLY bothered me. Saying its "messed up" that we are selling them and not donating them, or the proceeds. Some even claiming that we are "swindling" fans because they aren't effective masks.
3/First of all, no one is claiming they are medical grade, but the government isn't calling for everyone to wear medical grade, we are selling them as an alternative to making your own at home. That's it.
4/Secondly, our bands finances were DECIMATED by this tour, and we need to find creative ways to make money. How comes its okay for other businesses to sell masks for some profit because its a hot item, but GOD FORBID A BAND DOES IT.
5/Lastly, we probably wont even see any money from the sale because its all going towards paying the $15k+ we owe Absolute merch from buying hoodies to sell for our headliner (which got cancelled after 6 shows), and by the way, hoodies don't sell when it heats up.
6/Yes, I get it, some bands are doing very commendable things by donating proceeds to masks to COVID-19 research, but our band is not in that position, we are trying our best to settle all our debts so these merch companies get paid, their employees keep working
7/and our band can stay afloat for who knows how long.

Like, even when bands started posting sales after the tour cancellations, I saw people talking down to them for pushing their merch store so hard.
