Actually I don't blame anyone for wanting to join a different fandom, and wanting to do it for any reason is totally valid.

Each community has its strengths and weaknesses and sometimes a different fandom can be a better fit for a person. This attitude is so salty lmao. https://twitter.com/amazin_arts/status/1252968785780375552
Framing a genuine need to move to another community as "protecting a fragile conscience" is a fucking shitty take, and it paints you as being upset that people have left and found a better fit for what they need from a community. https://twitter.com/amazin_arts/status/1252968787319697410?s=20
There are legit criticisms of the pony fandom and instead of getting ultra-defensive maybe we should actually examine some of our faults. For instance we uplift and uphold shitty people as long as they're good at drawing fat Pinkie Pie ass. Nazis also get a free pass.
I used to get upset over people leaving before I realized what a total shitshow this fandom actually is half of the time. We hate people leaving and criticizing us but we do NOTHING to refute those complaints or even try to improve. How can we get mad if we don't even try?
Nobody wants to put the work in to address these complaints, but whenever someone talks shit about the community we jump in super quick for a salty defense or a subtweet. Our wounds are 100 percent self-inflicted and the sooner we realize that the sooner people will stop leaving.
We have this weird thing we do where we feel like a person is obligated to draw/create ponies for the rest of their lives and if anybody leaves its a "betrayal"

If you want them to stay, maybe fucking work to make sure the fandom isn't such a cesspit of fascists and transphobes.
Yeah, furries have their share of vile shit, but so do we. Acting like nobody is allowed to leave is incredibly petty. Maybe people don't want to be in a fandom who's biggest accomplishment is accidentally boiling a pony figurine in semen.
I feel like this flimsy competition we have with furries is completely useless. If someone doesn't want to be a furry that's ok, but acting like they're the ultimate evil when we do 90 percent of the same shit is insane. If anything we should be brothers in arms.
It always devolves into this pissing contest to see who's done the worst shit. We've both had sexual predators, deviants, pedophiles, public embarrassments and reams of news stories written. At what point do we drop the feud and come together?
