ik this trudeau thing is just a lighthearted thing in good faith but it makes me uncomfortable to see people just cheering for/ plastering the image of a politician everywhere whose actions and views are imperfect at best and actively harmful. this is also a person with a

personal and professional history of blatant anti-black racism and an active disinterest in the wellbeing and the rights of first nations’ peoples of canada among other glaring flaws. it doesn’t sit well to have to see his face in our fandom space in such a reductive way

and also i don’t mean this to be mean/put anyone down who’s genuinely just trying to have fun in a trying time but not everyone is comfortable with seeing the prime minister uplifted and discussed in the same way we discuss our favourite artists or public figures we love
