Yesterday out of frustration, I posted on this and another social media platform my distaste for the supposed progressives who constantly bag @unionsaustralia. After 24 hours of feedback here are my thoughts:
The "progressives" who responded negatively on both platforms were

* All male

* All posting from anonymous accounts with ridiculous names and photos.

* Completely indifferent to the hypocrisy it takes to call people weak whilst staying anonymous.

* Not unionists
* incredibly misogynistic. (They ruthlessly attacked @vanbadham for comment, everything from asking her income, questioning her background and snide remarks about her appearance. Of course nothing like this was aimed at me)

* Never directly answering any question of them.
* used gaslighting and deflection rather than addressing any point.

* Seem to believe they are superior to any unionist who is proud of what we have collectively achieved and proud of what we fight for.

* Cannot comprehend compromise.

* Don't actually care about the collective
In closing it is my belief that most of these people are either Tory trolls or people cosplaying progressive.

These people don't seem to comprehend that policy has real world affects.

People on the poverty line rely on us winning politically to live.
Healthcare, welfare and education will only ever be strengthened by the labour movement who obtain political power.

Purity is the killer of progress.

I'm very proud to be a @theamwu member, proud of the work we do for manufacturing workers across Australia.
I'm proud to be a delegate of the mighty Ballarat trades and Labour council. Proud of the work we do for the workers of Ballarat.

Proud to be an activist in the we are union movement in Victoria. And proud of the gains we have made for Victorian workers.
Lastly to my comrade and friend @vanbadham thank you for your support and friendship. You like many of our strong women comrades are attacked without cause.

Solidarity. Forever.
