pansexual has been defined as having sex with all kinds of people, 1974. being open to loving anyone, 1982. attraction to all genders/sexes, 1997. a sexuality not about gender, 2000. a fluid sexual orientation, 2003.

all of those definitions of pansexual, and ones similar with slight variations to the wording, continued to be used over the years. from the 1970s to the 1990s (manifesto). from 2000 to 2007 (tumblr). and up until now.

nothing about pansexuality, the human sexuality, is new.

i say "pansexuality, the human sexuality" because some of y'all fuckers love to bring up freud and his bullshit pansexualism theory when the topic of discussion is pansexuality, as if they're the same thing. spoiler alert: they're not. so shut the fuck up about freud.
