Failed talents- Hachim Mastour

At the age of 14 Mastour was being targeted by Europe’s elite clubs he eventually signed for AC Milan

His play style was likened to Ronaldinho and he was even hailed to be a future Ballon D’or winner

He was promoted to the AC Milan senior squad at the age of 16 and broke a record for the youngest ever player formerly held by Paulo Maldini

Mastour was then loaned out to Malaga where he made 1 substituted appearance with no goal contributions

Mastour was then loaned to Zwolle where he played 6 games and failed to make an impact

After this disappointing spell Mastour was sold to Greek club Lamia without making a single appearance at AC Milan

Mastour said in 2019 “Look, I had a great time at Milan. It was a family for me. But maybe, in hindsight, at 14 I could have chosen a European club like Ajax, who were interested in me, and which maybe it would have kept me more distant from the Italian spotlight.”

Mastour currently is playing for Serie C club Reggina where he is trying to rediscover his love for football despite penalties making a single appearance
