1. #YouthLeadership Twentyfive years in Army, 15 in industry, I have seen leadership inside out. Why there are no military ‘leaders’ in military and no industry ‘leaders’ in industry? Manekshaw and Ratan Tata have carried the burden for decades in life & (Manekshaw) in death too.
2. #YouthLeadership Politicians are not ‘leaders’ in strict terms. Politicians are as much about power, as is military about ranks and industry about money. So far as the three achieve it, ‘means’ don’t matter. Can leadership qualities be, Manipulation? Opportunistic? Selfish?
3. #YouthLeadership is the only hope for future. This youth will be workforce, entrepreneurs, politicians and be occupying the entire work spectrum. What are they learning? Military officers on TV? Industry leaders extradited? Criminal politicians?
4. #YouthLeadership To learn ‘leadership’ one needs to have a teacher with life experiences who has undergone the grind, practised leadership, has not lived a dual life & has achievement to be proud of DESPITE sticking to values for decades. Look around. Scan your life. Seen one?
5. #YouthLeadership To me, a leader must have Credibility. Whatever I say or write must be ‘cross-checkable’. I must find ways to prove my credibility in this digital bit-byte world. I am not in touch with anyone and must find ways to establish CREDIBILITY.
More of it....later
6. #YouthLeadership Leadership is not about compromises. Leader must be like a flawless diamond. Leaders would follow a self-set value system that the environment knows and sticks to it. Leadership is not the entitlement of Military, in fact today it has a vacuum of leadership.
7. #YouthLeadership HOW do you stick to values and still wade through cesspool of industry, politics, military, workplace, in fact LIFE? First and foremost- select a person from whom you want to learn. Selection of right person is key. Leadership cannot be taught from OHP ppt.
8. #YouthLeadership I have created a YouTube Channel ‘Kshemin Global’ for uploading all videos on Leadership as I practiced it. All videos will be available on my profile in LinkedIn too. There is nothing today. Very soon, may be in thirty days, it will be populated. I must.....
9. #YouthLeadership I must FIRST establish my credibility. If I say leaders must have credibility AND they should have undergone the grind, I MUST first put my past and present in front of you. Establish credibility. I would, in do it on Twitter till 16 May, thereafter videos on.
10. #YouthLeadership thereafter convert same content in videos & start ‘Leadership for Youth’. I am ashamed of my generation having failed to be beacons. Sorry. Connect with me on LinkedIn. YOU DONT have to ‘subscribe’ ‘share’ or press ‘bell icon’ on YouTube Channel. Please don’t
11. #YouthLeadership Tweet No. 5 speaks of CREDIBILITY. A leader MUST have credibility and extending same logic any person who talks about ‘Leadership’ must be credible. IS @ColSanjayPande i.e. ME, credible? Yes I have credibility and hence before talking about leadership .....
12. #YouthLeadership IS @ColSanjayPande credible? Yes, and hence I must open myself to public scrutiny. I invite everyone to go through my previous 11 tweets and ask me ANYTHING about my life, military and industry career here on Twitter. Be blunt. Transparency is my strength.
You can follow @ColSanjayPande.
