an experience I've had multiple times is going on a creepy overnight homeschool field trip as a kid and then turning on a ghost hunting show years later and realizing it's apparently HELLA haunted

Once we spent the night on the USS Yorktown, a retired aircraft carrier featured on Buzzfeed Unsolved. What they don't show you, somehow, is that the ship is POPULATED WITH OLD DUMMIES DRESSED LIKE SAILORS (this is the best image I can find)

So imagine being like, 11? And you're crammed into metal bunks with your friends, and you keep hearing weird noises, and you have to go to the bathroom, and BAM. A mannequin head with a ratty wig coming out of a porthole right in front of you!!

THEY. WERE. EVERYWHERE. There were planes suspended from the ceiling and mannequins crouching on the wings over our heads. A creepy submarine crewed by beat-up dummies. I swear they moved when you weren't looking.
