honest question: are the largest museums & arts institutions too big to bail?
Should we instead be investing stimulus funds in small arts orgs & nonprofits before funds go to the big orgs (those with large to massive endowments or major tax support)?
What would lead to the most meaningful benefit to our communities? Could this be a moment of reset where we shift the types of arts orgs we decide to stand behind & support?
or do we just keep bailing out the biggest & wealthiest institutions while small impactful & community-centered orgs struggle to survive or simply just close?
