My college son is sick
Congestion
Sore throat
Low grade fever
Achiness
He keeps asking me does he have Covid
I said No cuz I can’t look my kid in the eye and see his fear and then tell him I’m scared because I don’t know
I am now sitting in my attic crying

I just got off the phone with the nurse at Good Samaritan who just told me to assume that my son has Covid19. I asked about getting a test - he said they are getting False Negatives AND False Positives so they are assuming Covid until otherwise notified...
I. Absolutely. Cannot.

I have made a plan to check on my son by text every hour. He is quarantined in the basement and needs to take Tylenol at 3a. I plan to be up all night so I am now wearing my father’s pjs (the ones that always make me feel better) and making grits. ::sigh::

Motrin is working. He’s still sweating but he is up & moving around. I set a cup of lemon ginger tea w/ honey & ice cream at the top of the stairs. Told him I will be up with him through the night. I am binge watching @LawandOrderSVU1 to stay awake

Heavy congestion - just sent down a neti pot.
He is achy so I sent down some Vick’s
I have my alarm set for early am to get some direction from his Peds doc
