Today's #NCBD collaborator talk is all about Dailen Ogden, the artist for MIRANDA IN THE MAELSTROM #2 "A Wolf in the Wasteland". #makecomics #indiecomics

@DailenOgden is responsible for the design of Noodles the shark-dog. The concept art of Noodles opening his jaws like a shark is, to this day, some of my favorite art from the series.

Working with and getting to know Dailen as a friend has been one of the major highlights of the project. Any day getting pages from her was a good day, especially when she brought a scene to life that had been in my head for a very long time.

And with an amazing flatter like @WillsandDrew , Dailen was able to work at the height of her powers. Teaching me, just how important that part of the process truly is to making comics.

Dailen created a wasteland world that feels massive in scale and strangely isolating, but with colors and environments that keep the feeling optimistic. Miranda may be stranded in a harsh environment, but it's beauty shows us that this is just the beginning of her adventures.

I hope this book is just the first our adventures as collaborators. I should probably send her a script for something soon, as I imagine she'll be booked solid for her entire career!
