This thread is actually a good illustration of two points:

1. Many roofs are suitable for solar panels, even funky shaped roofs in the densest city in New England.

2. We could generate even more power from rooftop solar if we design our buildings to maximize solar potential.

That's why @EnvironmentMA worked with @MikeConnollyMA, @RepJackLewis, and @JamieEldridgeMA to file legislation that would require solar-ready design as well as the installation of rooftop solar panels on most new buildings in MA.

And of course it's why @EnvironmentMA continues to advocate for other policies to support rooftop solar, such as net metering.
