mercer bay loop walk - literally my fave place to be
i come here so often ive stopped taking photos and i just enjoy being there

Mokoroa Falls - really lovely walk but to get to the actual falls you gotta be careful, itâs slippery af
Kitekite falls - you can go to either the base or top of the falls (people swim in summer at the top) also thereâs lots of stairs
by far my fave inland walk!!

karekare falls - entry level waterfall that takes minutes to walk to! going after a heavy downpour is best!
can yâall tell i like waterfalls lmao
hunua falls! it was my entry into exploring everything the southside had to offer! (going under the waterfall is wild and so much fun!)

just side stepping to the right a bit- but this whangaripo valley airbnb! been here a couple times for my bday and i love it

just the tiniest bit outside of the auckland region BUT this sweet spot is Vivian falls! last time i was there i couldâve easily died climbing the rocks lol
manukau heads lighthouse! great little day trip and if you look over the water you can see west auckland and whatipu beach at the end

canât forget my ride or die fave - muriwai scenic lookout! (donât forget to go up and park up top on waitea road for an even better view)
canât mention this place because the locals will kill me lmao but i will say itâs north of parakai
itâs so secluded but incredible! and always give the neighbours a wave when theyâre mowing their big ass lawns lmao

warkworth cement works waterhole (what a mouthful) this is the OG swim spot! it never lets us down! grab fish and chips afterwards and youâre sweet! 10/10!! (we even reenacted birdbox with a tree log one time)

auckland domain wintergardens - flowers!!!!!! who doesnât love flowers!!!! OH and the fernery is a beautiful spot to sit and have an existential crisis

muriwai gannet colony - itâs chill, itâs a bit chaotic but remember youâre going into their home so you better watch out

shakespeare regional park! such a beautiful spot with so much grass area for picnics/bbqâs/sports + a walking trail!
canât talk about te arai without talking about te arai point + the cove!! make sure you take the right road down or else youâll end up half way up the beach!
special mention to dickey flat! itâs outside of auckland but an easy day trip to the karangahake gorge! thereâs tracks to walk and ride your bike, swim spots and waterfalls! best day trip ever!
