THREAD: if you know me at all you know I love hockey romances. Scoring Chances series by Avon Gale is a series that blooded me. It takes place in the ECHL (kind of like a minor minor leagues, NHL -> AHL -> ECHL) & are full of lovable idiots. And 1 stern brunch daddy.
They are all m/m, and each book explores sexuality, identity, trauma, found family, friendship, and belonging. Some are a touch heavier than others, but they are also hilarious & buoyed by incredible humanity. They are also mostly on sale right now! (CW at the end of thread)
1 / BREAKAWAY - virgin star rookie with zero brain-to-mouth filter vs grumpy jaded aging out enforcer for opposing team.

2 / SAVE OF THE GAME - quiet flexible (it's relevant) goalie vs loudmouth no-fucks-to-give New Yorker (also relevant) enforcer

3 / POWER PLAY - stoic sexy Coach (secret stern brunch daddy*) vs kind all-american golden boy assistant coach with complicated history between them.
*cackling at Misha's reaction to being called a stern brunch DADDY.

4 / EMPTY NET - goalie vs goalie, with one out & proud, and the other finally living away from abusive father. One of my favorite things about this book is that no one is "saved" or "transformed" - plz check CW & it should be read after Power Play.
