So I attempted to watch Frozen 2 last night, and... that is certainly a movie that exists.
We gave up around when they& #39;d finished the flashback and there had been at least 2 songs about what& #39;s his face not being able to propose to the-not-magic-girl.
Did the plot go anywhere?

Like if folks say "oh actually it gets good and Other Sister becomes a magical girl", that& #39;d be cool. I feel like it was just going to be more songs about not terribly much, though?
It& #39;s weird to watch a musical that doesn& #39;t seem to understand the purpose of songs in a musical.

I wish I could find write-up (hit me up with links), but the gist is this. Here& #39;s how you place your songs and dances:
- If your emotions are too strong to be spoken, you sing.
- If what you& #39;re expressing is even stronger, then you need to dance.
- Crescendo? Sing AND dance.

That has the handy side effect of placing your singing and dancing numbers at the emotional inflection points of the story you& #39;re telling. It creates pacing, and an emotional beat.
Frozen 2 (and a lot of recent didney) is more like: "we need to pad for when we release the OST"
