Thread on Andrew Thomas
Thomas had a fantastic game against K'Lavon Chaisson.

He does a great job of neutralizing the inside counter. Although initially Thomas sets out wide for the speed rush, he immediately recovers back inside for the spin and gets horizontal to protect his QB.
Against the speed/dip and bend, Thomas is able to gain contact of Chaisson's pads and drive down to prevent him from bending around the corner.
Often bendy speed rusher are able to dip their shoulders and preventing the tackle from establishing contact. However, Thomas does a nice job of latching on with his left hand and drive down with his right.
However, Thomas does struggle with speed off the edge at times.

If he can get hands on you, he is fine, but the issue comes from his footwork. Thomas doesn't have the quickness to mirror and recover off the edge.
For the most part, he was able to shut out K'Lavon this game.
Again, Thomas gets beat around the corner and is unable to match the quickness of the defender. As a result, he has to lunge and push the defender further down the field to prevent the sack.
Andrew Thomas has some violent hands.
He slaps Jachai Polite 5 yards down the field.
Once Thomas is able to latch onto, he usually does a great job of sustaining his blocks in the run game.
Powerful mauler in the run game.
Overall, really solid prospect. He would be OT1 in most draft classes, but he does have some athletic limitations that cap his overall ceiling compared to the other prospects. Really solid in pass pro, usually only struggles with speed, and a mauler in the run game.
