so i understand that the charcoal masks serve a real purpose but 10/10 times i see a white person post a selfie wearing one my first thought is "omfg theyre wearing blackface"

like i guess im just wondering why folks do this so much? i cannot be the only one who thinks its weird
like this happens... a lot. and i have to doubletake every time. cause people still actually wear blackface all the time? it just.... seems inadvisable and i don't understand.
like i'm white so i'm really not trying to dictate what is and is not racist i just. can't help but think that this must make a lot of people really fucking uncomfortable. it sure startles the hell outta me 🤷🏻‍♀️
