It's #WednesdaysForWater & #EarthDay2020 and we are 2 days away from the 6 year mark of the #FlintWaterCrisis so today i'm going to share my story of how I went from a kid dealing with bad water, to having my own solution for water issues across the country (1)

When they switched our water source the change in water quality was almost instant. We never had brown water at my house, but the water had a really odd smell. The water was giving my whole family awful rashes

After that visit, he approved over $100M in aid to help fix Flint. (Nobody realized back then that actually fixing Flint would be a long and complicated process)

If we wanted to take a bath, you know, like normal kids do, we had to warm up bottled water because of the tap water causing so many issues

President Obama had read my letter and he was coming to Flint because of me. I can confirm he gives the world's BEST hugs.

We have raised enough money to provide the equivalent of 27,000,000 bottles of water and we are shipping filters coast to coast to people who need clean water.

My goal is to hit the goal on the gofundme within a month.

My bottled water fund fundraised close to $300k and was able to distribute over a million bottles of water to my community.

BUT
That amount of plastic waste is not good. It's not good for our planet.

AND
Opening bottle after bottle of bottled water, having to drive to pick up water, and to constantly have to carry cases is a huge inconvenience. And at this point we were 5 years into the crisis
(5)
In the beginning, so many people were donating water we had an entire wall of water. Which was good because every single drop of water we used came from a bottle and we used several cases every day.
(6)
Back then all I wanted to do was to help. We would go to protests and to help pass out water wipes and other supplies.

Within 2 weeks we had raised $15k to purchase bottled water for my community. We took bottled water door to door on earth day 2018 and then started doing huge monthly water distributions. People would line up HOURS early to make sure they could get bottled water.
