THREAD :

Timo Werner to Liverpool.

Klopp is a manager that doesn't sign players who can just play in one position. We've seen it with many different signings he's made at Liverpool. Mané can play anywhere across the front three.
Firmino can play as a false nine or as an attacking midfielder and Salah can play on the right or as a number nine. Same with the midfielders too. The likes of Hendo, Gini and Ox can all play in various positions in the midfield.
Werner started his career as a right winger at Stuttgart, but was later on moved into a more central role when a new manager came in. Since he's gone to RB Leipzig he's played a massive part in their recent success in the Bundesliga scoring 88 goals and assisting 39 in 150 games.
He's someone who can comfortably play on the left wing and has shown it on a massive stage away at Tottenham in the Champions League knockout stages where he played as a left winger and got the goal to win the game.
Even when he plays up front he doesn't just stick to one position. He's linked up really well with Schick and Poulsen this season and has used their hold up play and strength to his advantage so he can use his explosive pace to get in behind defences and be a constant threat.
Where would he fit in at Liverpool?

As our front three are already very versatile, Werner would fit in perfectly especially in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Judging by previous games in that system, this is how Klopp would set them up.
He would also work really well in a 4-3-3 formation too, whether that's up top or from the left. A main part of why our front three play so much is because of the lack of quality we have in attack so Werner would allow us to rest them a lot more often too.
£50m is an absolute bargain for a player of that quality and with him just turning 24 it looks like another brilliant piece of business from Michael Edwards and Klopp as I do expect it to be wrapped up judging by Werner's comments about Liverpool and the recent reports.
