In the event where Biden has 6-8pt leads nationally and in the key states, will pundits be willing to make the appropriate call? Or will there be a ton of anchoring to 2016? My guess is the latter.

There’s no professional penalty for predicting a close Biden win and having it be a blowout, but if you call a blowout you’d better be right.

Plus if you’re a Dem operative you need people to think it’s going to be close for the sake of fundraising and GOTV.
