I think one of the things that makes the "stay at home" orders frustrating is not know how long it will last. Will it be through May? June? July? August? Beyond? Who knows? I've already had many things in my future canceled. Classes I am giving, hosting, or taking. (1/5)
Conferences where I'm presenting (APME in Scotland, so sad!). Concerts I'm attending or leading. Fun things or places that were just in the future - no longer possible. The unknown of how long this lasts makes one wonder if anticipation is silly. (2/5)
Part of being human is making plans, getting excited about those plans, and then doing the plans. They involve relationships in various ways, and right now, all of that is indefinitely on hold. (3/5)
I am looking forward to my move East (42 DAYS!), and today I got notice that I was accepted for a conference in November. I am allowing myself a moment to get excited about this conference, this experience in the future. (4/5)
