Writers of contemporary fiction - YA, MG, adult - who are currently writing a book: what are you doing about... all this? Are you attempting to incorporate it or not? Deliberately setting it pre-2020? Something else?

You can say this doesn’t matter and there’s breathing room for how hyper-realistic contemporary fiction needs to be, but I still get criticism for BBT, written in 2013 and pubbed in 2016, because the characters use Facebook and “teenagers don’t use Facebook anymore”
