rewatching supernatural and reviewing every episode because i have succumbed to quarantine brain rot

- a thread
so heres some things id like to say first:

- i have already seen every episode up to but not including 14x04 "mint condition" bc that's where i stopped watching
- i abbreviate to "spn" rather than "sn" because im not a fucking freak
- ive been watching spn since just before the s9 finale
- i have not forgotten much because i was a tumblr stan and burned that shit into my brain
- i am a cas stan first and human being second. idk if this will go on long enough to get to s4 but if it does i will be insufferable
- im well aware that this is a bad show. i dont like that im doing this either
- my reviews might be in-depth or they might be single tweet star ratings. who knows
- i think everyone in the show is lgbt+ bc i have braincells
- except john hes a het and i hate him
- if you want to read my deancas fanfiction send me a dm
- if you want to send me your deancas fanfiction send me a dm
- if you ship sam with any of his abusers ill break quarantine and go to your house and hit you
01x01: pilot
"dad's on a hunting trip. and he hasn't been home in a few days."
i sort of forgot that spn used to be kinda scary, im not used to the dark lighting and spooky music bc later spn is so outlandish they cant get away w the muddy look the early seasons had. there's something very charming abt this pilot episode though -
and i think that's all down to jared and jensen's performances. they're full of life and one-liners, it's so easy to fall in love w these boys and their weird tragic past. in five minutes we see more layers to dean than a lot of shows give in full episodes -
and sam is so tiny. he's so little. hes 6'4" but he's a baby. they're both babies but sam has a fringe.

a lot of this ep got me very sentimental? bc spn was such a big part of my life for such a long time, watching this gave me such a rush of nostalgia -
but i think what got me most was the scene at the garage. "driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole" is a concept way overused in spn fic but it did absolutely get me a bit đŸ„șđŸ„ș to see it in its original context again. -
overall a very iconic moment in tv history i think. based solely on my own attachments and what came of it, i have to give this ep full marks. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
