Since early-on in the #CoronaCrisis, we've kept in mind the needs of real Americans by developing people-centered solutions. In a major win for everyone, the Senate's latest response to this historic moment includes the following points from our #COVIDー19 agenda 3/9:
@USofCare Recommendation: $3.6 billion in #COVID-19 testing. In its latest package, the Senate approved an even greater $25 billion in virus testing with $11 billion to be allocated directly to states. 4/9
@USofCare Recommendation: Appropriate funding to community health centers in hardest hit cities. Congress took this up with a $600 million allocation which will benefit struggling local clinics looking to survive in this crisis. 5/9
That is why @USofCare recommended we require the collection & public reporting of comprehensive data about COVID-19 infection, including by race and ethnicity which this latest bill now specifically requires. 7/9
As these key policy points head towards a House vote tomorrow, @USofCare will continue to advocate for a meaningful national investment in our health care system to not only weather the duration of the pandemic, but help our country emerge stronger than ever afterwards. 8/9
And again, if you’re down with what we’re doing. Please consider donating! 9/9 END https://unitedstatesofcare.org/donations/
