Watching answers to @isaokla’s customer survey flood in after @GovStitt’s announcement. I'm so glad we're able to gather this information for our independent shops as they figure out the best way to move forward. Here are some of the main takeaways so far ...

People miss their local shopkeepers and interacting with them in store. So many encouraging comments that I can’t wait to share with our members to lift their spirits. Please let your favorite local shops know how much they mean to you. They need to hear it.

With that said, the majority of answers so far are clear: people are scared & not comfortable shopping in store yet. Reopening the state by lifting restrictions doesn’t mean people will follow and the economy will suddenly start back up. It's going to take more time & patience.

Shop owners are confused and concerned about making the right decisions. Their focus is on their community, their employees and the longevity of their business/livelihood.
