. @StewartWood making too many excuses for the government on #newsnight for my liking. We need to stop framing their failures as about comms. Their comms have been fine, it’s their planning and delivery that’s been lacking.

How do you put pressure on the government? Don’t repeat their own excuses. Wood suggesting the reason they haven’t published exit strategy is because they think will confuse public. The reason is clearly that they know test-and-trace most popular, but they don’t have capacity.

Like with lockdown, we need to push government here. Aggressive test-and-trace would require war style planning. They don’t want that. They also didn’t want lockdown! The public might have different ideas.
