1. If you are planning to build an online or a digital business, you must gather together a group of interested individuals who will make up your audience. Nothing gets sold until you get the people who are willing and able to buy.
You can start by sharing great content on your social media pages, start a blog, a youtube channel or a podcast. Do this to get feedbacks on how what you have to offer is appreciated in real world by real people.
2. You must have a way to effectively and constantly communicate with your new audience to build a great relationship with them overtime. One method mostly recommended is building an Email list.
You need an email list because not everyone who connected with you in your social media accounts will see your content. Whereas with Email, your content will reach all your subscribers. You should start building your Email list in the early days of your business.
Avoid doing it manually and use a bulk Email service instead. Also, avoid buying Email addresses and use an Email opt-in landing page.

3. You must have a clear topic. What is your business about? It's an intersection between what you are good at and
what your audience cares about. Your topic must really solve people's problems.

4. Then you must have a compelling offer that solves people's problems. This is what you put out in exchange for money, time or any form of commitment.
Your first set of offers could be an interesting and valuable content in exchange for their email addresses. It could be an ebook, a course or a webinar. Then later on, you could offer a product or service which they will paid for.
