Congratulations #PhilanthropyCA on this week's #PhilCASummit! Sad that I wasn't able to join for the discussion with two of my favorite health leaders due to technical difficulties. I'll look forward to joining the next one!

Had I joined, I would have highlighted how much we NEED philanthropy to work in partnership with us – to be that nimble capital to support innovation and local community interventions alongside our statewide response.
California has been a beacon of public-private partnerships in our #COVID19 response thanks to the efforts of so many philanthropic partners who have supported both our statewide public health and economic responses.
As Sec. Mark Ghaly & @SrHernandezMD said, efforts like Project Roomkey to house the homeless, the Immigrant Resilience Fund w/ @GCIRtweets to support undocumented immigrants, and creating jobs through a contact tracing corps are all opportunities for public-private partnerships.
