What has made Banner Society/SBNation so interesting, imo, is that gets the essence of college football so well. It& #39;s a weird, sometimes stupid sport. It& #39;s easy to try to ignore/look past that. They didn& #39;t just acknowledge it. They enjoyed it. They leaned into the weird/stupid...
I always liked the weirdness subconsciously, but I didn& #39;t really realize it until they pointed it out. That& #39;s caused me to lean into the weirdness a little more, too, and it makes the whole thing more enjoyable, to me. ...

There are a lot of other examples, too, both serious and not even remotely serious. I respect that as a journalist and enjoy it as a reader. It has been a unique, fresh approach. And I really, really hope it doesn& #39;t go away. /end
