Friends, here is good news regarding COVID management in India. This is specifically about Ayurveda interventions.

Seems like pressure from vaidyas and public has finally borne fruit.

This may b a watershed moment for the renaissance of Ayurveda. Thanks @narendramodi @moayush

The government has constituted a Interdisciplinary AYUSH R&D Task Force. This was on Apr 2, 2020. Pl see the terms of reference.

On 17 Apr 2020, the above notification was continued and a Working group for "population based studies and prophylaxis studies" was formed. This is a very significant step for the advancement of Ayurveda specifically and AYUSH in general. Pl see screenshot.

On 21 Apr, an extraordinary gazette notification has thrown the door open for all Ayurveda practitioners to send their proposals on cures for COVID. Pl see screenshot.

It seems CCRAS has taken up about 80 proposals for funding. Many interventions are already happening and the initial results seem "good". In a strict scientific sense it is impossible to say X cured corona because body cures itself (a very highly qualified vaidya told me this).

Now the ball is in the court of AYUSH practitioners because the government has positively indicated it is receptive to AYUSH. May this great civilization be released from the self imposed shackles, one step at a time.
