Here's a question: why is the emphasis in distance/online teaching on recording video lectures and not podcasts? Podcasts are easier to record, lower bandwidth for students to download, easier to engage with asynchronously and while doing other tasks... #highered
Is it a norm developed by for-profit LMS's? Is it an attempt to reproduce the kinds of attention norms we expect in the classroom? Is there a pedagogical reason, or is just another norm we've settled in? #highered
