I promise I’m not being snarky when I say this.. but I wish there were more types of “black hair” presented when modeling products in Ads. I know natural hair is at the forefront but mixed girl curls and 4c are now the only things in Ads. Some of us still have relaxers lol

.. and even when I wore my hair natural I STILL DIDNT SEE MY TYPE OF CURL PATTERN, so I felt this way then too.
This isn’t a slight to natural girls, but a criticism of brands bc.. they’ll show all types of non black girl hair .. and various sub types. Why do we only get 2?

Any given commercials will show a blonde with bone straight hair, a ginger with tight curls, a brunette with waves , and then they’re like “oh and here’s this Zoe Saldana looking chick with silky curls . Is that enough diversity for the day?”

Also. This isn’t so much about representation (cause idgaf) as it is the fact that I just want to know how certain products will look on my hair lol. It’s just practical shit
