Today I'm super excited to show off the new @bildrHQ website... but first some context. Or check it out and come back for the context 😂

1/
I started working with the Bildr team a few months ago. They'd been working on the current version of Bildr for the past three years and were building new features at an insane pace... new things every day

2/
It turns out they were building so fast because they use Bildr to make itself. And Bildr is incredibly fast to build with.

To understand what that means, watch this video of Mark explaining it on the new about page http://bildr.com/aboutus

3/
I got to use Bildr myself for this website, so I got to push its limits first-hand.

Impressively, there were none. Because it's extensible, I was able to use third party libraries and do custom scrolling animations, even though they weren't built into Bildr specifically.

4/
In fact, I did all the media queries and responsive work before they had a UI around responsive design. Because of the way Bildr works, there were actually several ways to do it!

(Starting today, all the beta users get an awesome UI to handle responsive design!)

5/
The Bildr website is "just" a website, though.

I'm in the process of building the Bildr Community as part of the overall Bildr platform. It's a web app, with data, states, and interactions.

For this type of project, Bildr has been just as impressive!

6/
Bildr directly translates input from visual interfaces to code... they purposely don't have an opinion on anything except that literal translation.

This means for javascript events, any event in the spec ( https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Events) can be added to any element

7/
Or anything can be used for an HTML attribute on any element... including variables, data, formulas, whatever.

Plus CSS works like CSS. You can set everything up visually or in CSS code, but you get base styles, appending classes, and inline styles for every element.

8/
Some things come pre-made... like users and all of the sign up / sign in logic.

But all of the pre-made stuff is made in the same way you make anything in Bildr. You can modify, copy, or add new element types AND actions from scratch.

9/
Anyway, back to the team. They come from more than 10 years of using nocode together in an agency setting.

They've seen all of the things that I care about as a professional doing client work with nocode, and they've accounted for them in Bildr.

Truly impressive.

10/
The platform will open to the public sometime in the near future (I don't know when exactly), and I expect a lot of people to be as impressed as I was/am.

11/
If you want to get on the list for access as it opens up, you can sign up on the site in the upper right.

If you have a project that could be a great fit, reach out to the team, because they're ready for some real-world stuff to be built with Bildr!

12/
The new website comes alongside updates to the Bildr platform itself (in private beta), and a handful of new users have been let off the waitlist.

So look out for a wave of excited tweets about Bildr!
