So the best thing happened to me this morning:
Idk if y’all know this new song it’s called Mamacita by Black Eyed Peas, Ozuna and J. Rey Soul.
I did not know who J. Rey was but she appeared to be the female vocalist for the BEP.

When I saw her in the clip and heard her on the song I was really digging her vibe so I immediately started following her on Instagram.
So this morning (it was like 6 AM over here but I was still awake
) she went live on IG bc it was like 9PM or something over there (LA)

I did not think she would pick me to go live with her AT ALL but when she did I was actually shaking because I was nervous as hell
But let me tell you we had the best talk ever!! @JReysoul she was so compassionate and understanding.

But let me tell you we had the best talk ever!! @JReysoul she was so compassionate and understanding.
We talked about our quarantine and after that we started talking about high school and the toxicities that come with it: for me this is because I have been bullied. I have Tourette’s Syndrome (no I do not curse!) but my tics are that I make ‘sneezing sounds’
Whenever it’s flu season I often get asked whether I am sick and I often get called out or bullied because of it. I am in fact not less of a person
. If anything it has made me stronger. People think I sneeze and think it’s dirty.

People would rather judge me for it and laugh at me than come up to me and ask what’s wrong. This is exactly what is wrong with society these days. Personally I think that as humans our prejudice is our biggest flaw. It is not people’s fault that they laugh or look at me weird.
Does it hurt when people do that shit? I mean of course it does but no one is to blame. There is just a lack of awareness in today’s society and I truly think that sucks. There are so much stigma’s around Tourette’s Syndrome and it’s honestly time to stop that.
There are a lot of people (unconsciously) suffering from it. Some of the most influential people on this world too.. take for example @billieeilish. She didn’t open up about it up to a certain point in her career, and I can definitely understand why. We get looked at strange.
Someone with actual knowledge of TS would know that tics (motor or vocal) vary A LOT. And can go from making sudden movements to cursing words out loud. I keep telling myself my ‘sneeze’ tic is not as worse as it could be. But the way you get looked at by society says a lot.
I have been and still am struggling with it everyday but I’m getting through it one day at a time, because I truly got the best friends and a really supportive family. I don’t know when people will see this as something normal, it should be normal.
Just like people with a disease, I did not choose for this either. And it sucks that people spend so much time hating each other, fighting each other and rivaling each other rather than being there for each other.
Naturally, this all has had a huge impact on me. And I genuinely want to thank @JReysoul for letting me do my story and listening to me and giving me advice. Nevertheless, there are a lot of people like me.
So I want to reach out to some of the influential people I know, to read this thread and spread the word. Now that we’re quarantined I trust you’ll have some time to read it. Please share this in whatever way possible. Let’s make ourselves useful while quarantined. Thank you

Again, thank you @JReysoul . Let’s get the word out!!
