We are, together, experiencing the health threat of our generation. Now in 210 countries with over 2.4 million infections & over 165,000 deaths worldwide, COVID-19 is affecting a tidal wave of social & economic disruption.
We are, together, experiencing the health threat of our generation. Now in 210 countries with over 2.4 million infections & over 165,000 deaths worldwide, COVID-19 is affecting a tidal wave of social & economic disruption.
MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières - Doctors Without Borders) is sending doctors, nurses, respiratory technicians, infection control experts to the front lines with treasured protective gear. MSF now has Response Teams on the ground in 47 countries, with more on the way.
Even here in Canada, in our prosperous country, it will challenge every resource we have to blunt the impact of COVID-19.
THE DEVELOPING WORLD
COVID-19 has now appeared in the overcrowded refugee camps of Syria & Jordan, among the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, in the crowded slums of Nairobi & so many more…all places where sanitation is marginal, crowding is the norm, & subsistence is meagre.

The health consequences under these conditions will be staggering. To save thousands of lives, measures can & must be taken, NOW.
MSF has been pushed to the edge of capacity, losing many of their frontline caregivers to infection & straining available resources to the limit.

THE REQUEST
Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake has raised more than $34,000 to help save lives on the front lines with the most vulnerable of all people in the world. We ask you to also consider supporting MSF Emergency COVID-19 Fund as soon as possible.

Our Rotary Club has negotiated with MSF to ensure this donation will only go to those countries who are in the highest need within the Developing World Countries.
