So many zoom discussions this week focussing on Racism (with majority White people in each session)... and I can't tell you how problematic some of those spaces are.

The amount of times "it's shocking that this is happening" and "we have to stand in Solidarity and protest to help" was proclaimed with unanimous approval... and yet the PoC in the sessions all unified in our collective frustration.

This isn't new...
...this isn't the first time Black bodies have been used to save the lives.

...this isn't the first time minoritised communities have had to PROVE their contributions to society.

...this isn't the first time journalists have Whitewashed representation.
.. this isn't the first time police have disproportionately used excessive force to stop and surveillance Black bodies.
... this isn't the first time socialist and trade unionists have responded with calls for solidarity and collective protest, whilst simultaneously refusing to do the internal work or tackling their own racism.

... this isn't the first time there has been a hashtag.
What change will YOU make?... Real, actual, tangible, meaningful, structural and interpersonal change will YOU make?

This isn't JUST about the establishments... the establishment cannot exist without people.

We can all do something... what are YOU doing for change?
P.S. standing outside your door clapping doesn't change anything for us.
