What are some of the most incredible wars that you have seen?

I will start you off with Bert Cooper v Michael Moorer for the vacant WBO title in 1992
March 1986

Marvin Hagler v John Mugabi

Hagler wins via an 11th round KO to retain the undisputed middleweight title

In Round 6 the fight exploded💥🥊
March 2013

Tim Bradley Jr-Ruslan Provodnikov

After an incredible 12 round war, Bradley got the decision to retain the WBO welterweight title
Feb 2007

Michael Katsidis-Graham Earl

Somehow this fight managed to go 5 rounds with Katsidis winning via a stoppage

Incredible stuff!
November 1991

Evander Holyfield-Bert Cooper

Cooper so nearly stuns the undisputed heavyweight champion in an incredible battle

Holyfield forced the stoppage in round 7 with a barrage of punches

Those uppercuts 😲

Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo

Round 10 needs no explanation but Corrales in winning unifies the WBC and WBO lightweight titles

Where there is Hagler-Hearns and Castillo-Corrales there is Arturo Gatti-Micky Ward

These two fought each other 3 times, going 30 rounds and then finished in each other’s arms. The respect was earned from the first fight.

Erik Morales-Marco Antonio Barrera I

Morales got the decision to unify the WBC and WBO titles but it wasn’t to be the end. These two fought 36 rounds against each other and neither could be stopped

George Foreman-Ron Lyle

In an incredible war both men hit the canvas before Foreman gets the stoppage in the 5th round
August 1990

Nigel Benn-Iran Barkley

This one doesn’t last long as both men exchanged heavy blows in the opening round before Barkley is stopped via the 3 knockdown rule

May 1982

Ray Mancini-Arturo Friars

It was all over quickly as Mancini stopped Arturo Friars to become the WBA lightweight champion but boy did they go to war!

Andre Berto-Victor Ortiz

Both men hit the canvas twice but it was Ortiz that came away as the victor, claiming the WBC title via a unanimous decision
