Looking for a *virtual* reflection activity for the last day of class? One of my go-to activities: PowerPoint Roulette! Each student "spins" the wheel (it's a PowerPoint slide) and it lands on a prompt such as "Class takeaway" or "Colleague shoutout." My wheel looked like this...
Spinning action...
Then, after a few moments, I advance to the next slide. The catch? The next slide is completely random! For example, a student landed on "Semester Accomplishment" and this was their random slide⬇️
The student reflected on their major semester accomplishment: The pandemic prompted them to learn unfamiliar tech over the past 6 weeks. They were able to lean on others for help, while also supporting others with tech questions.🌟💻
Activity tips:
1.) If you have 15 students, create 20 image slides. Alternate wheel & image slides⬇️ If a student gets stumped, that's okay -- give 'em another slide. For those thinking: "bUt tHaT rUiNs tHe GaMe" We're living in a pandemic: the rule is that there are no rules!
2.) Lead by example: Go first to show students how the activity works. Going first also shows students that the activity isn't as daunting as it may seem.

3.) Create space at the end of the activity for open reflection sans spinning wheel.
