Thread (1): Join us for a car caravan protest this Saturday, April 25th, at 12 pm to demand Justice for Mychael Johnson! We will be meeting at Lake Ella Plaza. On March 20th, Mychael Johnson’s life was stolen by TPD officer Zackri Jones. There are no reports he had a weapon.

(2): Mychael Johnson, a loving father of four, son and sibling, is survived by two sisters and a brother. His family desperately seeks answers while receiving nothing but radio silence from TPD, who killed another unarmed Black man. Much about this incident is still unclear.

(3): We are calling on TPD, the Tallahassee City Commission and the State Attorney to:
-Release any body cam or dash cam footage
-Commit to an independent investigation controlled by community members and not TPD itself

(4): Logistics:
Rendezvous at the Lake Ella Plaza and begin a safe-distance car procession towards the Tallahassee Police Department. Attendees are encouraged to display signs/paint their vehicles with messages demanding justice and transparency, including but not limited to:

(6): Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, we cannot hand out signs. Please bring one or more signs to display from inside or on your vehicle. Attendees are also encouraged to write #JusticeForMychaelJohnson at the bottom of any signs used, regardless of the main slogan of the sign.
