In 2017 I resigned my job with the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria to become an intern/sub-consultant

My goal was to develop and rise through data analytics and major in Monitoring and Evaluation, supporting Health Systems with workable plans from start to finish
It was an absurd decision, my parents didn't like it and until last year my dad never stopped feeling bad about it.

My pay as an Intern/sub-Consultant was half of my pay at the institute.

Everything about my decision was odd but I had a goal and the job at IHVN was not
providing me that platform.

Fast forward to now, I have worked and supported all the Health Agencies and Board in Nasarawa State (SMoH, HMB, NAPHDA, SACA) n my competencies ar known among d key players in d health sector.

That has led to me been offered a full time role in a
quasi-teaching hospital in the State and I still get to do my side jobs. It is really amazing how that opportunity armed me with all the necessary skills and provided me the platform to discover my strength and overcome my fears.

I have learned one thing profoundly
always keep your eyes on your goal, pray about it n follow it thru regardless of what the world thinks.

Time will reveal whether or not your decision was right.

Overall ask yourself sincerely if the the pay you are getting can be equated to the dreams and goals you use to have
