Hello #WritingCommunity and #WriteHive and #RevPit people in particular! It& #39;s about this time that people start stressing. "Wait, you all have CPs? What is a CP? How do I get one? Do I need one?"
Here& #39;s the thing. A critique partner (CP) is a relationship. You don& #39;t generally jump right into it. The relationship is allowed to change.
Start off with looking for beta readers (and being a beta reader!) Trade just the first 5 pages, or just the 1st chapter. NOT THE WHOLE MS!
If you are a good fit for each other with writing and critiquing styles, becoming CPs comes naturally. But you can& #39;t force it.
So: don& #39;t look for a CP. Look for beta readers. Look for a relationship, a give and take. Push each other to continue to improve.
Cheer with each other!
Ok but how do you find more beta readers? You& #39;re in luck! There& #39;s tons of potential people to trade with all around you! You can also browse and use the #CPMatch hashtag.

Oh and also, I& #39;ve been scheming.
